Renée Press Submission Guide
Renée Press is a small, independent publisher dedicated to quiet philosophy, open educational resources, and public domain works, all made with care. While much of our catalog is curated in-house, we welcome proposals that align with our mission and aesthetic.
What We’re Looking For
We are open to:
- Public domain works in philosophy or adjacent fields that deserve renewed life
- New writing that complements our focus on accessibility, inclusion, or philosophical wonder
- Open educational resources and scholarly editions intended for broad, thoughtful readerships
We are not currently seeking conventional academic monographs, polemics, or works requiring extensive marketing infrastructure.
Submission Requirements
- Please submit a complete, edited manuscript along with a short proposal (no more than one page)
- Your proposal should describe:
- What the work is and why it matters
- How it fits René Press’s mission or series (e.g., The Camellia Series)
- Whether the work is public domain, Creative Commons, or original
- Preferred formats:
.docx,.odt, or.pdf - Email submissions to our contact address with the subject line: Manuscript Submission
We are a small team and review submissions with care. Please allow up to eight weeks for a response. At this time, René Press operates on a profit share model and does not offer advances; however, we provide comprehensive design, ISBN registration, and support for distribution.
Thank you for considering René Press. We look forward to reading your work.
